Josephine T. Ciprietti DiFrancesco, 71, of Landenberg, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Life Care Hospital of Chester County in West Chester.
She was the wife of Anthony DiFrancesco, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, she was a daughter of the late Sabatino and Grazia Grace Ciprietti.
Josephine attended St. Patrick School in Kennett Square and was a 1957 graduate of Kennett High School.
She was a bookkeeper for many years for the family business.
She was a member of St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Mother in Avondale, and the Sons of Italy in Wilmington, Del.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, growing orchids, doing puzzles, taking bus trips, spending time at her beach house and traveling with her husband, Tony. Most of all, she simply enjoyed being with her family, including her seven grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Anthony J. and his wife, Dandrea, and Robert J. and his wife, Renee, all of Landenberg; one daughter, Angela G. Crognale and her husband, Vince, of Landenberg; one brother; three sisters; and seven grandchildren, Desirea, Anthony M., Alyssa, Mia, Natalie, Francesca and Michael.
You are invited to visit with Josephine’s family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc., 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, 610-444-4116, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at St. Garbriel of the Sorrowful Mother, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery in Wilmington, Del.
